APS
SmartNodes – Access Point System
The SmartNodes APS (“Access Point System”, also named “Gateway”) connects the nodes to the Internet and the CMS system, using the TALQv2 protocol.
Depending on its version, it communicates through GSM (3G or 4G) or Ethernet to transmit and receives information from the CMS. On the field, it uses a mesh RF communication network (2,4 GHz) using Wirepas technology to connect the overall SmartNodes ecosystem.

About Wirepas
Wirepas, a scalable and reliable mesh network :
- Self-forming : the network is automatically created by itself considering the spatial configuration of the nodes. Each nodes create a communication path with its closest neighbours, which ease the reliability of the information while enabling a large-scale deployments.
- Self-healing : when a node is not available anymore, the network creates new communication paths with other nodes to ensure undisrupted communication within the ecosystem.
- Self-adaptable : thanks to 40 communication channels, each nodes can choose the most adapted channel to its environment and then avoid local interferences.
