For passing in more complex situations, autonomous vehicles need qualified and secure information from the infrastructure.
The functions
- Safety assurance for self-driving shuttle routes through the integration of C-ITS connectivity at traffic light junctions;
- Real-time V2X communication of traffic light status to the connected vehicle;
- Priority given to autonomous public transport vehicles;
- Specific management for crossings of access regulation systems (automatic barriers, retractable bollards, industrial doors, etc.);
- Notification of presence of pedestrians, cyclists or in-service emergency vehicles.
